Today let me introduce you to the wedding of Ozgecan & Emanuele, a Turkish & Italian couple living in Luxembourg. They had a beautiful religious ceremony at Notre-Dame de Luxembourg, my first time shooting in the most iconic church in Luxembourg.
Getting Ready at the Sept-Fontaines castle
The couple had decided to celebrate their wedding at the Sept-Fontaines castle. Since they had it at their disposal for the entire day, they started getting ready there. I started with Ozgecan’s hairdress, during which her closest relatives arrived directly from Turkey. That led to some beautiful and fun moments to capture when they saw each other. During the make-up session, the bride’s cousins helped her overcoming her stress with a nice bottle of Jagermeister !
Then Emanuele arrived at the castle and got dressed with the help of hist bestman. A beautiful tailor suit with a top hat and a cane.
I then organised a first-look in the staircase of the castle. The bride walked down the stairs slowly and it was a magical moment ! All their relatives were very excited about this moment.
Religious wedding ceremony at Notre-Dame de Luxembourg
Probably one of the most beautiful churches in Luxembourg, along with Saint-Jean-du-Grund. But also one of the most touristy ! The church is huge and the light inside is superb. A joy for photographers !
Cocktail and party at the castle
Back to the castle, we spent a bit of time doing bride&grooom portraits and then some group shots. The newlweds wanted a photo with all their guests. This is alwasy a little bit difficult to achieve and I suggested an original idea. I want a heart-shaped group shot. With the help Nancy and her colleague from The Party Ville, we drew the heart in the castle’s yard. This way guests just knew were to stand.
