This is the engagement session of a beautiful couple who will get married next May. For the occasion we took a boat trip on the lake of Haute-Sûre followed by a walk in the pretty medieval village of Esch-sur-Sûre. Without further ado, the photos:
Boat trip at sunrise
After a good hour of driving, I arrived on the banks of Lake Haute-Sûre for the sunrise, that is to say around 6:30. A very early pre-wedding shooting, but this is the best time of day to get a beautiful light. Especially since with the heat (quite relative!) we were entitled to a morning mist over the water, which was of the most beautiful effect.
The boat trip lasted about an hour, until the sunlight became too harsh. This photo session was a little different from what I usually do since I could not easily communicate with the couple. I photographed from a distance, leaving them in their universe, so that they make the most of this intimate moment.
Champagne in Esch-sur-Sûre
Then we went to the medieval village of Esch-sur-Sûre. We took some pictures in the ruins of the castle, including a ‘Save the date’. The fiancés had brought a good bottle of champagne for the occasion and we concluded the session with a glass of champagne on the banks of the Sûre.
For my first engagement session of the year I had a great time with this nice couple. Remember to book your session as soon as the sunny days are back because I have fewer and fewer availabilities before the wedding season resumes!
