This lovely couple from Luxembourg trusted me to be their wedding photographer next May.
Last weekend we decided to take advantage of the nice weather to shoot their engagement session in Luxembourg-city ! Despite of the freezing cold, we had a great time and it ended up at a nice Italian restaurant. Read more about it below, but first here are the photos !
A spontaneous engagement session
On Saturday morning I noticed that the snow from the previous day was still there, so I grabbed my phone and suggested S&T to go and shoot their engagement session in the afternoon.
Unfortunately, by the time we met, the snow had all melted down and the romantic white country trails had turned into muddy paths. So with a bit of disappointment we decided to postponed the photo-session to Sunday, this time on the Clausen banks, in the center of Luxembourg-city.
Finally it will be Clause !
Wrapped up warmly in our winter clothe and ready to fight the cold, we met on Sunday morning. S&T had the brilliant idea to bring music instruments along in order to personalize their engagement photos and make it more romantic.
A romantic engagement session
Details often make a difference in this kind of lifestyle photography. The beautiful saxophone and guitar duet put an end to the quietness that usually rule Luxembourg on a Sunday morning. But who will complain ?!
Making use of my documentary style, I let them play and interact together without getting in the way so that I could obtain natural photos. Bringing your own personal items is a great way to feel more at ease with your photographer and forget about him/her.
The couple had also brought a bottle of Champagne that we surely opened to get warmer !
We then took the direction of the “montée de Clausen”, right above the Casemates. S&T had put a lock there engraved with their initials. The occasion to throw petals of roses in the air, just for the sake of fun 🙂 And of course we used my famous slates for the Save the date, a very efficient way to relax as you can tell 🙂
