This is the beautiful engagement session of K&R in Paris. We met at 6 in the morning at the Trocadero to avoid the crowd so we could enjoy some beautiful sights of the Eiffel tower.
Elopement in Paris
For this very special occasion, I decided to do it all black&white with added grain in order to give a film feel to my photos. I thought it suits very much the Parisian mood 🙂
Eiffel Tower from the Trocadero
K&R found me on the wedding portal ZankYou over a year ago. Although they live in the greater area of Paris, we thought it’d be great to shoot their engagement session in the city of lights. We met on a Thursday at 5 in the morning. It always best to start shooting at sunrise, not only to get the better light but also to avoid the huge mass of tourists one’d expect to find in this kind of place.
We met at the Trocadero, the big place right in front of the Eiffel tower. I could not believe that at such an early time, people were already hanging around. There were people cleaning, African bracelet sellers setting up their shopping stands, and even… tourists ! Yes, at 5 in the morning….
That was a pretty though beginning for me, since I had never shot there before and I had just met the couple (so far we had only conversed by Skype). But anyway, they are so good-looking that it wasn’t that hard ^^.
Eiffel Tower from the Bir Hakeim bridge
After taking over a hundred photographs of the couple with the Eiffel tower (geek…:p) we headed towards the Bir Hakeim bridge. That’s a definite landmark of Paris, with the Metro running on the bridge and a cycling lane + road under the bridge. And of course a view on the Eiffel tower !
In a short while I will show you K&R’s wedding, which I shot last September. If you would like to book your elopement or engagement session in Paris with me, get in touch !
