For my last wedding of the season, I feel privileged to have met this very friendly Luxembourgish couple. The bride had carefully thought every details that make a difference on the photos. They had also chosen a very special place for their bride & groom photos: the Belval factory, near Esch-sur-Alzette: a photographer’s dream 🙂
Wedding day preps followed by first-look
While the groom was getting ready – and after I shot some casual shot of him – I was wandering around in the house and noticed many small objects and sentences scattered across the house. I did my best to capture them in context in order help building up the story of their wedding. Isn’t it funny when the bride gets dressed right in front of a small frame displaying the message “Can’t I stay a little longer ? I’m so happy here.” ?
We then organised the first-look in front of their house. We kept it simple but the emotion was at its peak and I really hope this can be felt when looking at the photos.
Originals bride & groom photos
Right after the first-look, we hit the road towards the industrial town Belval and its buildings that make you feel like you are in the middle of teh Blade Runner movie-set… Pretty far from the wedding atmosphere would you say. But as a photographer that is exactly what keeps me going and inspires me. It helps me coming out of my comfort zone and be creative. J&V were very at ease in front of my camera so that was helpful for me because it means I could concentrate on my compositions and lightings instead of having to worry about how they should pose.
A wedding party at Mondorf-les-bains
Following an emotional religious ceremony at the Huncherange church, the newlyweds left in a stunning and classic Volkswagen Beetle borrowed from some car club in Luxembourg. The party was held at the Hôtel du parc in Mondorf-les-bains.
